Swiss Charge d'Affaires A.I. Summoned to Russian Foreign Ministry

PRESS RELEASE

On October 5 a representation was made to the Charge d'Affaires ad interim of Switzerland at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation over the decision of the Swiss Federal Department of Justice to extradite ex-Minister of the Russian Federation for Atomic Energy Yevgeny Adamov to the US.

In particular, the injustice was pointed out to the Swiss diplomat of the said decision, with which we do not agree and which fails to take into account the weighty arguments in favor of the extradition of Adamov to Russia, that have been repeatedly stated to the Swiss authorities.

It was also emphasized on our side that this bewildering and disappointing decision could not but tell on the state of Russian-Swiss relations.
