On October 25, the meeting of the Sub-group on arms control issues of the Russian-German High-Level Working Group on security policy issues (HLWG) was held in Moscow and was co-chaired by Vladimir Yermakov, Director General of the Department for Non-Proliferation and Arms Control, MFA of the Russian Federation and Ambassador Rudiger Bohn, Deputy Federal Government Commissioner for Disarmament and Arms Control.

During the meeting with participation of representatives of relevant Russian and German agencies a detailed exchange of views on a wide range of arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation issues including the 2020 Review conference for the Non-Proliferation Treaty, situation around the INF Treaty and the New START Treaty, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, prevention of an arms race in outer space, the First Committee of the United Nations General Assembly issues, OSCE Structured Dialogue, the Treaty on Open Skies, Vienna Document, situation in the OPCW, as well as the BTWC took place.

The sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing constructive cooperation in the framework of the HLWG.
